Idea file: main bathroom

Again, after spending some time with Paulina, I'm presently leaning towards this:

Bath is the existing, possibly repainting the outside (from bottle green to charcoal perhaps).
Vanity will probably be the Schot's Shaker, cognac wood plus beige marble top
Toilet will be a fairly generic white porcelain

Given there's no shower, the tiles don't have to go above 1200, and there's no need for a feature tile. Therefore, going for a more detailed floor and/or wall tile.

Presently looking at a slate-like tile, being a mix of shades of greys, muds, and charcoals ($50/m2):

We were looking at a subway tile, coloured "Barley", which is a soft slightly mossy coloured beige
Of course, having been assured that the subway tiles were quite modestly priced, it turns out that the non-off-white ones are not so modest ($60/m2)

I then trundled off to Schots, to compare these to the vanity unit. Turns out the barley is probably too similar to the beige marble top (matchy-matchy but not exact)

(The creamy one is Alabaster or some such, and available at roughly half the price. It goes okay with the slate, but much better (by being not as close) with the vanity unit.)

Barley on beige. Just a bit *too* similar, I think
