Which cooktop?

We're at the stage where I need to pin down the specs for the last few bits and pieces: cooktop, heated towel rails, toilet suites, and purchase a few of the other bits and pieces. So I spent the afternoon at a few different local stores, and came up with these options (and ordered and paid for the sink and hot water service for the kitchen).

Cooktop
At this stage, I'm tossing up between the Ariston PH960MSTGH and the Electrolux EHG955SA

ARISTON 90cm

Pros: softer lines, better use of real estate (don't lose to much space to knobs etc), six burners - the front two can be used as shown, like a fish burner, or turned through 90deg to give two smaller separate burners.

Cons: only available at HN, not sure if the quality is as good as it used to be, the electronic ignition has failed on my parents one, upper limit of my price range (RRP $1599, best price $1499).

ELECTROLUX 90cm

Pros: good price (RRP $1389; E&S Trading $1038; Retravision $999 (out of stock))  for a fairly new model; includes doodad to rest on top of wok-burner; Australian-made (in Adelaide)

Cons: Less efficient use of space available; very rectilinear

EDIT: JD's with me - the softer shapes and extra burner for the Ariston one justify the extra cost. I'll order it tomorrow.

Rang the other Geelong store, and was quoted $1420, so have put a deposit on that and awaiting a call to confirm when it'll be available. Tick!

Hmm, on backorder, expected delivery around four weeks. They've agreed to send me the specs/cut out required by mail in the next few days.
