Out, damned chimney! Out, I say!

The laundry was dominated by a big-ass chimney, its base more than 0.5m x 1.5m (1.5' by 3'). It made the laundry space awkward and inefficient.

Yet who would have though the old man to have had so much muck in him?

Getting rid of it was high on my list of things to be done. And now my wish is coming true. The laundry ceiling is also getting lifted (the low skillion roof replaced by the west-facing face of the main roof).
